AHDC are proud to announce that on the 25th of September 2008, the company was presented with the 'ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD', for their 'Rockfield Project' in Liverpool. This prestigious award is yet further recognition of their success of the AHDC model. AHDC are now recognised not only for their innovation of their unique model for regeneration but we are also honoured by the quality of their environmental approach particularly in relation to energy efficient installations and their levels of insulation. Thus making AHDC homes low in running costs for their new owners and saving vital Climate Change gasses from being emmitted to the atmosphere!
Ian Robinson, the Chief Executive of AHDC stated, "This is a very proud moment for the Company and an endorsement of the quality of our work. Not only do we save 80% of greenhouse gasses by carrying out refurbishment instead of demolition and new build, we also save further emissions for the life of the properties because of their extremely efficient energy package. We are not complacent and will continue to improve further and stay ahead of the field."

On the 08/05/08, New Heartlands, Liverpool’s path finder, awarded AHDC for “Excellence in Design and Quality”, for our Rockfield Regeneration Project.
The yearly award, dubbed “Strictly Regeneration! Award”, recognises the excellence and diversity of regeneration projects on Merseyside.
The award is bestowed on projects that illustrate how design and quality have enhanced the appearance of an area, improved the living and environment and have contributed to the raising of community spirit.
“The project has helped breathe fresh life into one of the city’s most deprived neighbourhoods and led to homes in Tancred Road being occupied for the first time in five years. Eleven have now been sold and the scheme has had a positive effect on the whole area.” – New Heartlands
Ian Robinson, Chief Executive and Derek Smith, Chairman of AHDC, proudly accepted the prestigious award on behalf of AHDC in Liverpool.
“We are more than proud to be accepting this prestigious award and it is wonderful to be recognised by our peers, to be doing something unique in the world of regeneration.
And the fact that it is for 'Excellence in Design and quality', is an added bonus.”
- Ian Robinson – Chief Executive
"This unique project is turning around the perception of the Rockfield neighbourhood from one characterised dilapidated, empty properties to an area that will provide large family homes for private ownership for local people." - New Heartlands
The community has driven this project and the partnership between the public and private sectors is truly innovative. This project has illustrated the benefits of refurbishment where the conditions permit. In this case, it is the contribution they will make to improving the range of homes available in Anfield, making them both precious to the community and viable to redevelop.
The community is fully behind the project and the outcome will be a vibrant community occupying newly furbished properties.” – New Heartlands
