The Affordable Housing Development Company has been unveiled as the new sponsors of Utting Priory U13s. As part of a special open weekend in Tancred Road in Anfield, the award winning housing company presented new kits for the local community team, who last season won the Hillsborough Cup and also the Anfield Union League, which they remained unbeaten in after 18 games. AHDC, who still have a limited numbers of properties available in the area priced from £134,999, said that they decided to sponsor the young squad in order to continue their message of ‘supporting the community and their housing needs’.
Howard Waldman, operations manager for the company, said: “We are not only meeting the housing needs of this local area, but also the residents who live in and around it as well. When we were offered the opportunity to get involved, we thought it was a great idea as these youths are our futures.” Thanks to a unique private investment partnership with Liverpool City Council and Arena Housing, AHDC transformed every three and four bedroom property on Tancred Road near Liverpool FC’s ground. The company is now anticipating spending more than £20m to transform areas across the UK in a roll out programme using their Anfield housing scheme as a role model.

Joe Warburton, coach of Utting Priory, said: “It is fantastic that AHDC has decided to sponsor us. The team are thrilled and I can see a very successful next season for them. AHDC has had an incredible affect on this area and they really have transformed Tancred Road.” Working with local agents Sutton Kersh, AHDC was formed as a ‘special purpose vehicle’ (SPV) to participate in the enormous task of regenerating areas of deprivation in England’s cities.
